The City of El Paso Environmental Services Department (ESD) will be celebrating Mother Earth and our community with a fun and festive event on Saturday, April 23, 2016.

Everyone is invited to attend and help celebrate Earth Day at the free, fun-filled family event which will include educational and recreational activities that promote environmentalism and community pride. The celebration includes numerous educational booths, music, crafts and food. The event will also be offering pet adoptions courtesy of  Animal Services Shelter, along with food trucks and ESD’s own mascots, Captain Green and Super Spud the Shelter Dog.

This year, City of El Paso Environmental Services Department (ESD) will also feature ‘Live Art’ on a giant roll-off container. Guests can enjoy watching local artists create a gorgeous mandala and children will be invited to help the artists create the stencils for the work of art. There will also be a Recycled Fashion Challenge, where two teams will have 30 minutes to build an outfit made solely of recyclable materials and then worn by models from EB Productions.
