Plaza Classic Film Festival organizers announced Tuesday that Cindy Williams from the classic TV show ‘Laverne & Shirley’ along with Louise Fletcher from her famed role as ‘Nurse Ratched’ in ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest’, will be this year’s celebrity guests.

Cindy Williams who played Shirley Feeney in the wildly popular TV series ‘Laverne & Shirley’, will appear for the screening of George Lucas’ 1973 blockbuster “American Graffiti,” at 7 p.m. Friday, August 14 and will also sign copies of her new memoir, “Shirley, I Jest!,” at noon on Saturday, August 15 in the El Paso Community Foundation’s Foundation Room, 333 N. Oregon. Admission is free, but book purchase is required. Books will be available for sale at the signing.

Academy Award winner Louise Fletcher will be the guest at the screening of director Milos Forman's "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" at 7 p.m. August 7. Fletcher won the best supporting actress Oscar for her portrayal of the evil Nurse Ratched in the 1975 drama film. Fletcher also will headline a private reception for festival pass-holders and will appear at the screening of "Thieves Like Us" at 1 p.m. August 8, along with an opportunity for autographs at 4 p.m. August 8 in the El Paso Community Foundation's Foundation Room, 333. N. Oregon. Admission is free, but there will be a charge for autographs.

Tickets for "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" and "American Graffiti" are $10, while tickets for "Thieves Like Us" are $6. Festival passes are $200 and include admission to all ticketed events. Film Club passes, for ages 14 to 18, are $100.

The annual movie celebration begins Aug. 5 at the Plaza Theatre in Downtown El Paso.
