Inclement weather has pushed back the El Paso Chihuahuas' game for tonight (Sept. 12) against the Memphis Redbirds for Game 1 of the PCL Championship Series.

Tonight's game has been pushed back to Wednesday, Sept. 13 at 6:05 p.m. MDT. That also pushes back Game 2 to Thursday, Sept. 14 at 11:05 a.m. MDT.

The best of five series will continue with Friday's (Sept. 15) regularly scheduled game here in El Paso at 7:05 MDT. The last two games, if needed, would be played on Saturday (7:05 p.m.) and Sunday (6:05 p.m.) here in El Paso.

A press release from the Chihuahuas encourages fans to come out to support the team on Friday.

Tickets are on sale now for the home portion of the championship series. It’s RED OUT NIGHT at the ballpark where fans are encouraged to wear red to support the Chihuahuas. Fans who attend will receive a rally towel while supplies last. The night is also Flat Screen Friday where four guests will get the opportunity to win a flat screen television (restrictions apply).

The Chihuahuas are continuing a hot streak, winning eight of their last 10 games to clinch the division title. If the Chihuahuas take it all, it would be the first time a team has won back-to-back Triple A championships since the Hawaii Islanders in 1976.
