The El Paso Police Department is offering a cash reward for information on the driver who struck a firefighter on Transmountain.

On Wednesday morning (February 12, 2020), emergency responders where on the scene of an accident on Transmountain when a firefighter was struck by a vehicle on the westbound lane in a hit-and-run. Heavy snow covered the roads up on Transmountain and visibility was limited at the time the firefighter was struck.

The firefighter sustained serious injuries and was in critical condition and was soon rushed to the hospital, he is now in stable condition and was being moved to the ICU.

El Paso police officials are now offering a cash reward for any information that could lead to finding the person responsible for the hit-and-run.

Officials ask that anyone with information call the El Paso Police Department at 915-566-8477 or visit crimestoppersofelpaso.org – they are looking for information on a white pickup truck or perhaps an SUV with windshield damage that left the scene after hitting the firefighter.
