Bubba’s 33 Announces Opening Date for East El Paso Location
El Paso’s first Bubba’s 33 will officially open for business on December 12.
The restaurant, known for its large portions of scratch-made food and its involvement in the community, is located at 11925 Gateway West at the Las Palmas Marketplace in the spot Furr’s Family Buffet used to occupy.
What Is Bubba's 33?
Bubba’s 33 is a small chain of sports bar restaurants started by the guy who also founded Texas Roadhouse. His nickname was Bubba, hence the "Bubba" in Bubba's 33. The 33 is for the year Prohibition ended.
Its vibe is casual, family-friendly atmosphere meets garage bar that shines the spotlight on “[Bubba's] favorite things: America, food, family, sports and beer,” according to its website.
The Bubba’s concept is TV-lined walls, sports-related paraphernalia, a lot of neon, and big portions of comfort food.
The Bubba's Menu
Menu items include the usual sports bar fare of burgers, pizza, and wings as well as “tuck-your-napkin-in-your-shirt goodness” dinner meals such as lasagna, rib eye, and southern fried chicken breast covered in country gravy. There’s an decent selection of draft beer, cocktails, and wine, and a 12 & Under kids’ menu.
The website also touts that everything is made in-house from scratch daily “right down to the sauces on our wings and dressings on our salads.”
Yes, they have salads, but don’t let that fool you. The menu doesn’t look like it’s for those watching their weight. And that’s how we like it around here, am I right?
Bubba's in Cruces
A Bubba’s 33 is also opening in Las Cruces. The LC restaurant is nearing completion next to Pecan Grill and Brewery at 510 S. Telshor Boulevard. It's expected to open in February, 2023.
