The LA Times says Tim Floyd told them on Monday night that AD Pat Haden had contacted him and that their three-hour meeting "went well."  Haden didn't have any comment and said he won't until their coaching search is complete. USC fired its current coach during this season.

By the way, Floyd coached USC from 2006-'09 before resigning due to an NCAA investigation.  The NCAA didn't attach any violations to Floyd when it released its findings and sanctions on USC on June 10, 2010.  Floyd has always said he is innocent of any wrongdoing.

He was hired as UTEP's head coach in March 2010, and signed a five-year contract and for $600,000 a year.

Floyd has proclaimed his innocence of any wrongdoing all along.

UTEP wraps up its home schedule tonight against Memphis at the Don Haskins Center. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
