El Paso firefighters are on the scene of a huge fire at a multi-use building in central El Paso this morning.

The building at 1024 Raynor Street, which is in the Five Points area, caught fire around 3:30 this morning.  A police officer in the area saw the flames and reported the fire.  Flames reportedly shot as high as 50 feet in the air, and residents in the area said they would feel the heat from the flames up to half a mile away.

One person had to be taken to University Medical Center for smoke inhalation and three others were treated by medical crews at the scene but refused to be taken to the hospital.

At this time, Montana and Pershing, Montana and Piedras, Montana and San Marcial, and Pershing and San Marcial are closed.
