The City of El Paso Environmental Services Department is having an Earth Day Mural Design Contest. It's open to all El Paso-area high school students and their art teachers. The winner(s) will get to paint their mural on a City roll-off garbage container which will be revealed in an unveiling ceremony at El Paso’s Earth Day Celebration on April 5th.

The deadline for mural design submissions is Friday, January 31st. The theme of the mural has to focus on Earth Day, environmental awareness, recycling or going green.

There is no fee to enter and high schools can submit multiple entries, but each entry has to have its own contest form.

Vendors and public outreach partners can also reserve booth space at the event. Space is limited, and the deadline for reservations is February 1st.
