The Water Lantern Festival is back this weekend.

Saturday, March 30, 2019, Ascarate Lake inside Ascarate Park will once again be transformed into a spectacular wonderland of floating lights when the event hits town.

That evening, hundreds of lighted lanterns will quietly float away as the sun begins to set in the El Paso sky; their soft glow reflecting upon the calm lake water. Along with the Zen-like experience, festival attendees can also grab a bite to eat from some of El Paso's favorite food trucks, listen to music, and take some magical photos for "the gram."

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at the event website.

Each adult ticket gets you entry into the festival area, a floating water lantern, and a marker so you can design your lantern, write your hopes and wishes on them or a note to loved ones who have passed.
