If there is one thing you know if you are a pet owner - doggos and kitties need a lot of stuff. They're kind of like babies in that respect. Pets get used to have, pardon the pun, creature comforts, and if they end up at the El Paso Animal Services shelter, those comforts are in pretty short supply.

If you want a new pet, it's always best to check out area shelters first. Buying a pet when there are so many who need good homes just doesn't make sense. If you can't adopt a pet, or if you just have a big heart and want to help, donating to the Animal Services Shelter is a great way to help out animals who don't have a forever home yet.

The Animal Services shelter is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., at 5001 Fred Wilson Avenue, right across from Ft. Bliss Cemetery. Their phone number is (915) 212-PAWS. You can get directions to the Shelter by clicking here.

Here is a list of things that the Shelter could use:
Dry Dog and Cat Food
Crates and Pet Carriers
Canned Puppy and Kitten Food
Towels and Blankets (new or gently used)
Stainless steel Bowls (med, large)
Cat Toys
Kuranda (PVC chew proof dog bed)
All-Aluminum chew proof dog bed
Canned puppy/kitten formula
Pet/Puppy Nursing Bottles
