The El Paso International Airport will be conducting live fire training exercises this week and are informing the public to not be alarmed should smoke and emergency response vehicles be seen in the area.  Scheduled flight operations will not be affected, and these exercises won’t cause disruptions for travelers.

Between today and Thursday, expect to see live fire training being conducted off of George Perry Blvd. near the Aircraft and Rescue Firefighting Station.  Friday will see increased activity in the area as a larger, full-scale emergency training scenario will take place.

If friends or family members happen to mention that it’s weird that there has been a fire near the same location by the airport several times this week, it’ll be a good idea to remind them that it’s more than likely due to this week’s training.
