Long time El Paso minor league baseball fans can recall when a 21 year old movie star spent part of his  summer of 1973  playing the infield for The El Paso Sun Kings at the old Dudley Field on Paisano St. His name was  Kurt Russell, and before a shoulder injury sidelined Kurt for the rest of the season, and ending his baseball career, he was leading the Sun Kings in batting with a .563 average. I was there in the stands as a young teen-aged baseball fan when Kurt had a monster game against the Midland Cubs when he went 4 for 5, with 3 doubles,  a home run, and 4 rbi's !!
