UTEP's Friday Night Flick movie series gets underway this Friday, Feb. 8, with a low-priced screening of this year's Oscar darling, A Star is Born.

Bradley Cooper directs and stars alongside Lady Gaga in the epic drama about a hard drinking musician who discovers and falls in love with a young singer. He wants her ugly, she wants his disease. She's all, "Ro mah ro-mah-mah" and he's all, "Gaga oh-la-la!" You know this won't end well.

The latest Star remake is getting a lot of Academy Awards love. It's up for 7 Oscars including Best Picture, Best Actor (Cooper), Best Actress (Gaga), and Best Supporting Actor (Sam Elliott).

Tickets are $2 for UTEP students, faculty, staff and alumni (with valid miner gold card), $3 for the rest of us and can be purchased at any UTEP Ticket Center location.
