5 Seconds of Summer Guitarist Recovering After Onstage Pyrotechnics Accident
Michael Clifford, guitarist for the Australian boy band 5 Seconds of Summer, suffered burns on his face during a concert in London Saturday.
Clifford walked into the path of one of the pyrotechnics and the flames set his hair on fire. He was actually pretty lucky. Had it happened a second later, the blast would have hit his whole face.
Michael quickly stumbled backstage to receive medical attention, and the show was cut short. He later Tweeted an apology and a photo of himself, with half his face bandaged up. He's okay now, and rejoined the band last night for its final London show.
