El Paso’s Mexican Food Cook-Off 2014
The Mexican Food Cook-Off, presented by Metro PCS is back. The cook-off is held on September 20 downtown on El Paso Street . Come out and eat, drink, and celebrate all that the Mexican culture has to offer.
Come see a variety of restaurants and chefs compete for their shot of having the best Mexican food in El Paso with three categories– FAJITAS, TACOS, and OPEN DISH.

This isn’t just a food competition, it’s a fiesta! The cook-off also features the Folklorico Dance Championships and the Battle of the Rock N Roll Mariachis on the Coors Light Stage.

Want a margarita? Enjoy margaritas mixed specifically for our event. The following margarita options will be available at Bowie Feathers, located inside the event gates:

The event is from 2 PM to 11 PM. with FREE admission from 2 PM to 6 PM Attendees can get in free to the festival grounds after 6:00 PM with a Metro PCS Pass (while supplies last), available at all Metro PCS locations. No Metro PCS Pass? A minimal admission fee of $3 per person will be collected after 6 PM.
