This Thursday, April 27, you could go out for a great meal and a great cause with this year's Dine Out For Life event. The annual fundraising event helps raise money and bring awareness to the ongoing fight against AIDS in North America.

This year, fifteen El Paso restaurants will donate 25% of your food bill to the Border AIDS Partnership. That money will stay in the El Paso, southern New Mexico, and Juarez area to help fund HIV/AIDS education and prevention activities in the local area.

Since 1994, the Border AIDS Partnership, in connection with the El Paso Community Foundation, has distributed more than $1.8 million to support innovative HIV prevention programs.

The restaurants that will be participating in the Dine Out For Life event this year are, on the westside, Ardovino's Desert Crossing, Malolam, Hillside Coffee, Independent Burger, Magic Bistro, Mesa Street Bar and Grill, Ode Brewing, Salt Box, and the Rib Hut.

Downtown El Paso restaurants to check out are Tabla and Pot Au Feu.

If you're in Central El Paso, check out L&J Cafe, 5 Points Bistro.

And if you're an eastsider like me, head out to my favorite Italian place, Trattoria Bella Sera, or Cuartito Azul Eastside.
