El Paso and General Consulate Of Mexico Unite for Vivamos México! Celebration

El Pasoans are invited to a historic celebration this September 15th. It’s the 213th anniversary of Mexico’s Independence: Vivamos México!

Destination El Paso and the General Consulate of Mexico in El Paso have teamed up to bring a historic celebration to residents, visitors, and the community of the Paso del Norte region.

“To celebrate this monumental day, guests will enjoy “El Grito,” a patriotic Mexican ceremony honoring Mexico’s independence,” read a press release sent out by Destination El Paso officials. “The celebration will also highlight the history and binational culture and aims to strengthen the bonds of friendship between Mexico and the United States.“

The event is family-friendly and will include food trucks, family-friendly crafts, and entertainment that includes Ballet Folklórico Camino Real, Mariachi Los Arrieros, Grupo Status, and La Conquistadora Banda y Conquistadora Norteño Banda.

The official ceremony with the participation of the ITCJ’s (Instituto Tecnológico de Ciudad Juárez) Escolta and Banda de Guerra will take place at 8:00 pm.

So if you have no plans for this September 15th then join the city for a celebration in honor of El Grito de Independencia!
