A man and woman drive up to a hospital, leave a man in a wheelchair, and drive off. Hospital staff discovers the man is dead, and now they need to talk to the couple. Sounds like a movie, but it really happened in Las Cruces, and now police there need your help to find the man and woman.

At 10 p.m. New Year's Day, the man and woman pulled up to Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, put 54-year-old Norman Means into a wheelchair and told the hospital staff that they had given the man a ride from Deming. It was only after the couple had taken off that hospital staff determined that the man was dead.

Las Cruces police say they don't believe Means death is suspicious. He didn't have any visible injuries, but was a diabetic and recovering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his abdomen from July 2014. Police need to get some additional information from the couple to complete their investigation into where and how Means died.

Means might have lived in Silver City but has also lived in Organ, New Mexico.

If you have information on the couple who took Means to Memorial Medical Center, you are asked to call Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, or send a tip by text message to CRIMES (274637), keyword LCTIPS.
