The El Paso Police Department is asking for any information regarding a stolen motorcycle in what they are calling an ‘elaborate scheme’.

According to the El Paso Police Department's Crime Stoppers division, several suspects were caught on surveillance cameras and reveal that the victim was planning on selling his motorcycle when one of the suspects convinced the seller to go to Viva Motorsports so that he could replace a lost key to the motorcycle. The first suspect not only helped the victim load his motorcycle onto his truck, he also followed him all the way to the dealership. Once at Viva Motorsports, the victim was approached by a second suspect posing as an employee and asked him to go inside to check in. While the victim went into the dealership both suspects then made off with the victims motorcycle.

El Paso Police are describing the stolen motorcycle as a gold and black 2006 Kawasaki ZX600. The vehicle that the suspects drove off in is being described as a mid-‘90s, single cab Dodge, Dakota, green pick up truck with a faded hood.

Both alleged suspects are said to be two Hispanic males in their late 20’s to early 30’s.

The El Paso Police Department are urging anyone who has any information regarding this crime to call Crime Stoppers at 915-566-8477(TIPS), or on-line via their website at crimestoppersofelpaso.org or by text message by entering the key word “CRIME1” (no space and include the quotation marks) plus your tip information, and text it to CRIMES (274637).

If you have any information leading to the arrest of the suspects, you will remain anonymous and you can qualify for a cash reward.
