Twenty-four years ago, Khalid Donnel Robinson was born in Fort Stewart, Georgia, and today he is one of the biggest stars on the planet.

Although Khalid was not born in El Paso, he considers the Sun City as his hometown after attending Americas High School, where his music began to gain attention.

After releasing his debut album, American Teen (2017), Khalid has received several accolades, including six Grammy Awards nominations, six Billboard Music Awards, three American Music Awards, and was named one of Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People.

Throughout his musical career, Khalid has continued to rep the 915 and constantly shows his love to the city that helped launch his career.

In the five short years since his debut, Khalid has become a mega-star whose fame is not only well deserved, but some would say, even predestined.

• Khalid is born in Fort Stewart, GA

1998 - 2015

• Khalid and his family bounced around Kentucky, New York, and Germany until his mother was transferred to Fort Bliss in El Paso

2015

• During his junior year of high school, Khalid's family moves to El Paso, Texas and attends Americas High School and begins to write his debut album, American Teen

2016

• Khalid graduates from America's High School, and his single Location begins to chart

2017

• Khalid performs at Neon Desert Music Festival in El Paso, TX.
• Khalid starts collaborating with Alessia Cara, Logic, and Kendrick Lamar and sells out every show during his Location Tour, including Tricky Falls in El Paso
• The first annual Christmas with Khalid initiative is initiated handing gifts to hundreds of children in elementary schools across El Paso, TX
• The album American Teen is certified platinum, selling over 1,000,000 in combined pure sales and album-equivalent units by the Recording Industry Association of America
• Khalid makes his television debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and performs Location

2018

• Khalid receives the key to the City in El Paso
• Khalid collaborates with Swae Lee, Lorde, SZA, Post Malone, Normani, Shawn Mendes, Halsey, Benny Blanco, Billie Eilish, Juice WRLD, and Kane Brown.
• Khalid releases his EP Suncity.
• Khalid announces 915 Hometown Show in El Paso and sells out in under 10-minutes. A second show is added, which also sells out

2019

• The single Talk is released
• Khalid made his debut on Saturday Night Live on March 9, 2019
• His second studio album, Free Spirit, is released
• On May 10, Khalid launched The Great Khalid Foundation in El Paso, a music and fine arts organization that helps underserved communities via music education programs and scholarship awards while fostering an atmosphere of encouragement and support
• Khalid makes history by becoming the first and only artist to occupy the entire top 5 of the Billboard R&B Songs chart
• The Free Spirit World Tour kicks off in North America, Europe, and Oceania.
