I know this is being posted a little late in the afternoon, but really, is there ever a bad time to watch this classic video?

The date was January 27, 1991 and we were 10 days into the Persian Gulf War.  The country was worrying about our troops overseas, and for the first time, the Super Bowl was going to be shown in most countries around the world.

Whitney donated her portion of the proceeds from the recording of the Star Spangled Banner to help troops and their families of the Persian Gulf War, and after the attacks of September 11th, it was re-released, and again she donated her share of the proceeds.

We thank all our troops and their families for their service to our country.  God bless Whitney Houston for stirring us with this rendition of our National Anthem, and God Bless America!

Have a wonderful and safe Fourth of July!
