Lady Gaga just dropped a short film for her song 911 and it prominently features several references to New Mexico, including White Sands and the state flag.

Lady Gaga’s latest video has a surprise twist ending where she dreams she wakes up in the Land of Enchantment, New Mexico.

On Friday, Lady Gaga shared the news of her newest music video on Instagram saying:

“This short film is very personal to me, my experience with mental health and the way reality and dreams can interconnect to form heroes within us and all around us. I’d like to thank my director/filmmaker Tarsem for sharing a 25 year old idea he had with me because my life story spoke so much to him. I’d like to thank Haus of Gaga for being strong for me when I wasn’t, and the crew for making this short film safely during this pandemic without anyone getting sick. It’s been years since I felt so alive in my creativity to make together what we did with “911”…”

While we won’t spoil the whole video for you, Lady Gaga wakes up in White Sands and follows a mysterious man to a church. Around the 2:37 mark, you can see a man riding a horse while carrying the New Mexico state flag, and then towards the end of the video, a New Mexico travel sign is seen that reads “New Mexico, White Sands National Park”.
