Movie aficionados who like to kick back with the kids under the stars and in the glow of an inflatable movie screen have several options this weekend.

Several municipalities are hosting free-to-see outdoor movies on Saturday.

So, pack a picnic, some blankets and lawn chairs, and hang with family and friends while enjoying the free flicks and various public parks El Paso County and the surrounding area has to offer.

The City of Socorro

"Movies Under the Stars" returns to Bulldog Championship Park Saturday, June 4. Sing 2 is the featured movie at sundown. The flick will be preceded with a concert by the band Mantarraya at 6 p.m.

They're cool with you bringing your dog as long as you both follow the leash laws in the park.

El Paso County

El Paso County Parks & Rec's popular outdoor movie series "Parks After Sunset" is back.

On successive Saturday evenings through June 25, they're hosting an outdoor movie night at county run parks in El Paso, Canutillo, and Fabens.

Parks After Sunset gets underway this Saturday, June 4, with the Disney hit Encanto at Westway Park in Canutillo.

Horizon City

Like their Sun City and Socorro neighbors, residents of the Town of Horizon City can also spend the summer watching flicks under the stars.

After a two-year pandemic pause, "Movies in the Park" returns to Corcoran Park on Rodman St. off Horizon Blvd. The free outdoor series also gets underway this Saturday, June 4.

Spiderman No Way Home is the featured movie.
