Viva! El Paso is unique to El Paso...

Viva! El Paso will celebrate its 36th anniversary this summer in the McKelligon Canyon Amphitheatre. It’s a locally produced outdoor musical extravaganza that chronicles the 400 year history and cultural evolution of the El Paso region.

This year they will be seeking approximately 50 performers and 15 technicians for the staging of VIVA! El Paso. This summer's show will continue at McKelligon Canyon Amphitheater for 21 performances on Fridays and Saturdays from June 14 - August 10, 2013.

Actors, singers, dancers and technicians are needed. VIVA! El Paso is produced as a joint venue between the El Paso Community Foundation, the UTEP Department of Theatre Arts and Dance, and the El Paso Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Auditions will be held on April 20th, 2013 at UTEP- Magoffin Auditorium.

All those auditioning are required to have a performance resume, an 8" X10" headshot and audition in the categories of dance and singing (all those auditioning will be taught choreography, a prepared dance piece is not necessary).

Those auditioning for an acting role should prepare a one minute monologue. Appropriate dance-wear/shoes required. For those unable to attend, videotaped auditions are welcomed and need to get to us prior to April 20, 2013. Minimum 18 years of age required*

Those interested in applying for a technician positions need to have a theatrical work resume. Technician applications will be accepted from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on April 20, 2013 at Magoffin Auditorium on the UTEP campus.
