UPDATE: Francisco Oropesa And His Wife Captured By Texas Police
We have an update regarding the manhunt for Francisco Oropesa, who we detailed recently regarding his alleged crimes. Here are the latest details.
Update On Francisco's Whereabouts
Thankfully, Oropesa, after a long search for where he went after his disappearance after allegedly shooting and killing five people, has been arrested. According to The Houston Chronicle, Oropesa was taken into custody after being located at his sister's house. The home, located in Cut And Shoot, Texas, held Oropesa as well as his wife.
They were located thanks to unnamed individual's tip to law enforcement. However, another individual has placed into custody. That individual is Oropesa's Wife, Divimara Lamar Nava.
Divimara Lamar Nava's Alleged Assistance With Francisco Oropesa
Texas Law Enforcement took Nava into custody due to alleged involvement not with the shooting, but with helping Oropesa evade Texas Police. She has been charged with Hindering Apprehension And Prosecution of a Known Felon. Investigations have also begun to see if anyone else in Oropesa's family were assisting in hiding him.
As for Oropesa, The Houston Chronicle states he was taken to a detention center in Coldsprings. Nava was transported to the Montgomery County jail, and is being held without bond. Nava is also scheduled to make an appearance in court on Wednesday.
As this is still a developing story, we will have more information when it becomes available.
