Pie-lovers are in luck, today is National Pie Day! And we know the perfect places to go enjoy some of the best pies in the Borderland. Most people are aware that Pi Day is on March 14th, a day for math lovers to celebrate pi, the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter. Technically the number for pi is never-ending but it's usually shortened to 3.14, which is why Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th.

Don't worry though, this isn't your only chance to celebrate this delicious baked good. There are actually two more pie days that are celebrated throughout the year, on January 23rd and today December 1st. Today is a great day to celebrate pies, right between the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. These holidays both place an importance on pies being at your family's table for your feast. And no matter what type of pie you enjoy, whether it be fruit or cream pie, there are plenty of amazing bakeries in El Paso that are ready to fill your orders.

But don't think National Pie Day is only about sweet baked goods. You can also celebrate by enjoying pies filled with meat and vegetables. There are places across El Paso that make some great chicken pot pies and more that you should venture out and try.
