This Weekend: Armed Forces Day Celebration at Biggs Park

Fort Bliss will be celebrating Armed Forces Day Saturday at Biggs Park and you're invited!  The annual Armed Forces Day activities will start at 10 a.m. and run through 5 p.m., and feature equipment static displays, demonstrations by Military Police Work Dog Teams, a car show, historical tours, and the Sergeants Major Association’s annual Fred Stafford Memorial Chili Cook-off. Armed Forces Day is set aside to honor Americans serving in the five U.S. military branches, and the festivities at Biggs Park is Team Bliss’s invitation for you to observe the day with them.

On a personal note, I want to thank all the fighting men and women at the Bliss; past, present and future. Especially those who've made the ultimate sacrifice. You're the reason why we have the freedoms we do today. Hooah!
