Friday:

Jazz at Sunset - Free outdoor jazz show 7 to 10 p.m. at EPCC Valle Verde Campus’ Americana Language Village, 919 Hunter. Performances by Ruben Gutierrez and Case Closed, with special guest Billy Townes. Bring your own blanket or lawn chair. No alcohol allowed. 831-2096

Alfresco! Fridays — The 10th season of free outdoor concerts continues today at 6 p.m. at Arts Festival Plaza between El Paso Museum of Art and Plaza Theater. The big band sounds of the Eddie Carranza Orchestra will entertain you this weekend. More Details

Farmer’s Market at Ardovino’s Desert Crossing – The 11th annual “producers only” market, Saturday 7:30 a.m – 12 noon. Features local farmers, backyard gardeners and artisans. More Details

Mercado Mayapán Farmers Market - The indoor farmers’ market and cultural plaza featuring farmers who do not use pesticides and whose small farms are located within 100 miles of El Paso. 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays at Mercado Mayapan, 2101 Myrtle. 887-1520

SATURDAY – Sunday:

Red & Green Chile War Festival - The Mission Valley fiesta features arts and crafts, food and drink booths, and live entertainment. Cougar Park, 10664 Socorro Road. 613-7967

Dog Swim Days - City of El Paso Parks and Recreation Department’s 4th annual dog swim days at Nations Tobin Aquatic Center, 8831 Railroad Drive. Dogs will be allowed to enjoy a pool day with other friendly dogs. Stacy Wright, 544-3556
