Texas is a beautiful state, and yes that may be my biased opinion cause I’m from Texas, but there’s a new survey that is trying to trash my state, literally!!

A new list of the Dirtiest Cities in America just got released and Texas is not looking too fresh.

Housefresh.com analyzed 12.3 million sanitation-related 311 complaints across the country and ranked cities based on how many trash, waste, and “someone-left-an-entire-couch-on-the-sidewalk” calls they got.

Who Took The Top Spot For “Dirtiest In America”

Baltimore took the crown with over 47,000 complaints per 100K people. But here’s where it hits close to home: San Antonio came in at #7 with 8,929 complaints per 100K, and Dallas slid in at #10 with 8,382 complaints.

To be fair, other cities like Sacramento and Los Angeles made the top five, so it’s not just a Texas thing. Locals are encouraged to call 311 for anything from trash pickup to replacing lids, so numbers may be inflated. (I’m just trying to find any excuse for us here in Texas!)

Meanwhile, Milwaukee is  topping the cleanest cities list with only 309 complaints per 100K people.

And for the curious: New York City didn’t even crack the top 10 dirtiest — it came in at a very #16. I think this whole list was rigged and created by a New Yorker who hates Texas!

Do you agree with this list?!
