The Internet Says These 10 Hobbies Are Instant Dealbreakers
Growing up, I was always told to find a hobby I loved to keep me busy and help me know what I wanted to do when I grew up. Fast forward to now and my favorite hobby, talking, actually led me to my career in radio! So, it’s safe to say my hobby came in handy!
However, for some people, talking as a hobby might be considered a red flag. Redditt decided to create a list of other hobbies people might consider a “Red Flag” and while i agreed with most, some of the hobbies on the list surprised me and honestly… I felt attacked by a few, too!

What's a Hobby That's an Instant "Red Flag"?
- Beauty pageants—especially the kid ones. If toddlers in tiaras is your thing, we need to talk.
- Influencing. No, I don’t want to wait for you to snap a picture of the food before I can eat it!
- Serial prankers. Grow up, not everyone wants mayo in their shampoo bottle.
- Scratch-off lottery tickets. One scratcher a week? Cute. Ten a day? RED FLAG!
- CrossFit. No, we don’t want to hear about your WOD, Chad.
- Taxidermy collectors. Your decor screams “cursed museum,” and we’re not sticking around to find out why.
- Swooning over serial killers. Ted Bundy was not “hot,” girl, he was homicidal.
- Celebrity worship. Being obsessed with celeb drama is fine... until you're crying over a Kardashian breakup like it's your own.
- Disney adults. If you proposed in front of Cinderella’s Castle, congrats—but also, noted.
- Hallmark movie fanatics. If your personality is “Christmas in July,” we’re gonna need a commercial break.
