Former Texas Fine Arts Teachers Open Cozy New Bookstore & Café
Far East El Paso just gained a new treasure! The Nook, a bookstore and café created by two local fine arts teachers who decided to turn their shared passions into something the entire community could enjoy.
The Nook held its grand opening back in July and the community welcomed the new bookstore with open arms! The pair, Madeline Erika Elias and Mandy Castillo, poured their hearts and souls into transforming this dream into reality, working tirelessly weekend after weekend. The result? A warm, inviting space where wellness, literature, and connection meet.
Whether you’re looking to curl up with a beautiful book, sip a wholesome drink made with real ingredients, or simply enjoy a peaceful escape, The Nook welcomes everyone!
Since opening, the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Many visitors see the value in having a space like this in El Paso. A place that nourishes the mind, body, and spirit.
The Nook has plenty of ways to get involved. Weekly events include homeschool art classes on Wednesday mornings, Nook Club (book club) every other week, Kids Story Time every Saturday morning, and adult craft nights every Thursday starting next week.
Located at 3260 N. Zaragoza, Suite B201, The Nook is a cashless café and bookstore that’s here to grow with the community. The owners say it best:
“We feel blessed to be living this dream in El Paso and are so grateful for each of you.”
