Everything is bigger in Texas, including the influx of new residents from other states!

The reports are in and In a stunning turn of events, Texas has emerged as the ultimate destination for transplants, with a whopping 615,000 people packing their bags and heading to the Lone Star State from across the country.

According to a recent study by SmartAsset, the influx is bringing some financial gain to Texas. Leading the charge are Californians, with a staggering 106,882 making the move to Texas. 

That’s a net gain of 30,820 households and an average gross income of $145,960—talk about bringing the bucks! But hold on—Texans are also heading west, with 23,316 households relocating to sunny California.

But California isn’t the only state sending folks to Texas. Florida is also in the mix, contributing 22,277 households to the Texas population. Meanwhile, Louisiana isn’t far behind, adding 6,677 new households.
