Texas is pretty gun friendly, so much so that most people would assume it's the most gun friendly state of them all. Not by a longshot, (pun way intended), but we are top 10.
The 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals sent the law, which did exempt New Mexico concealed carry permit holders, back to a lower court to decide whether or not it violates the second amendment.
We love the stories of grizzled outlaws fighting their way through an unjust world with nothing but a revolver and their trusty steed. Turns out, the Old West was much more tame than we remember it to be.
Gun sales appear to be going down in Texas and across the U.S. for the most part. But gun crime is up nearly everywhere. I think we need to stop this craziness.
With privilege comes responsibility. One of the most responsible things we can do as Texans is to protect our guns so they don't fall into the wrong hands.
