UPDATE: The City of El Paso has required the organizers of this run to obtain a permit. Unfortunately, this cannot be done in time for Sunday's scheduled race. THE RACE WILL BE POSTPONED, BUT RESCHEDULED when a permit can be obtained.

There are 16 El Paso-area runners who were participating in today's Boston Marathon, and we now know they are fine.  The Boston Marathon was rocked by 2 explosions earlier this afternoon. Jim Weddell tweeted, "Folks, we are all fine," putting to rest concerns about the El Paso group. ...

Such disturbing news out of Boston this afternoon as the Nation learned about the two explosions near the finish line of the race. Some celebrities took to Twitter to express thier sympathies...
