Ah the 80s. We had amazing music, amazing tv, and amazing movies. You know how I know this? Well, first of all, I lived through the 80s and second, all our amazing stuff is coming back. This weekend you can check out one of the funniest, most 80s movies ever made, Stripes starring Bill Murray. Stripes is the perfect movie for Bill Murray because he gets to be his goofy, grubby, edgy best. There are a lot of scenes in this movie that would never get filmed today so if you go see it, you should know that this was totally pre-Me Too and every other politically correct movement. You are sure to find something that will make you cringe and feel odd about laughing at.

The movie is going to be shown at Cielo Vista Mall, 8401 Gateway West Boulevard, on Sunday, August 29 at 3:00 and 7:00 p.m. It will also be shown at Cielo Vista Mall again at Thursday, September 2, at 7:00 p.m. You can click here for more information about how to buy tickets online. I'm super excited about seeing this movie again in the theaters mostly because it spawned one of my favorite gifs, the Lighten Up Francis gif. Check out the scene from the movie.

I told you it was politically incorrect. My favorite part, by the way, is when the drill sergeant says lighten up Francis. This is definitely not the type of movie you take your kids to unless they are a little older. There are too many scenes that would require, let's just say, explanation. Having said that, I'll see you at the movies!
