Snow In El Paso? It Might Happen – Listen How One School In Kentucky Announced A Snow Day
There is nothing better than getting a snow day off from school and work. It doesn't happen often in El Paso, but there are reports of snow flurries throughout the city this afternoon. Check out the weather forecast for El Paso, and how one school in Kentucky let parents know that school would be closed for a real snow day.
The principal and drama teacher at Stephens Elementary School in Burlington, Kentucky, needed to let parents know that their kids would have Monday off because of snow. Not content to just say, "Hey, folks, we're having a snow day, so keep the kiddoes home." Nope, Principal James Detwiler and drama teacher Chad Caddell channeled Freddie Mercury and recorded this message set to 'Bohemian Rhapsody':
Can you imagine calling the school and getting that message? I want to party with those guys!
Chuck DeBroder, Chief Meteorologist at KTSM, says we might see some snow, but definitely will see some super cold temps today through Friday. I just want one of the local school districts to announce a snow day like they do in Kentucky!
