Selena Gomez + The Weeknd Hold Hands, Take Their Unconfirmed Romance to Italy
In a move reminiscent of 2017's most short-lived public romance, Hiddleswift, Selena Gomez and The Weeknd have taken their unconfirmed, three week-long romance overseas.
The rumored couple — who were first spotted making out outside Santa Monica restaurant Giorgio Baldi earlier this month (January 10) — spent some time together in Florence, Italy, based on a fan-recorded video uploaded to Twitter, as well as this photo via TMZ which finds the "Hands to Myself" singer hanging on and holding hands with The Weeknd.
News of their international visit comes two days after the pair were pictured holding hands at a Los Angeles-area Dave & Buster’s on Wednesday (January 25). US Weekly claims Gomez and the “Starboy” singer spent four hours there along with friends Jaden Smith and French Montana.
"They really clicked musically when they were working on a song together,” a source reportedly told the publication. “Their chemistry was off the charts and she's really into him.”
It’s news neither party’s exes will likely be too happy to hear. Gomez’s former flame, Justin Bieber, has yet to officially comment on the budding romance, but he did recently call The Weeknd’s music “wack,” when engaging with a TMZ reporter.
The Weeknd’s ex-girlfriend, Bella Hadid, meanwhile, reportedly unfollowed Gomez on Instagram shortly after those initial photos first began circulating online. So much for squad solidarity.
