It’s exciting to daydream about winning the lottery. For a moment, we can easily imagine solving all our financial problems, paying off debt, renovating our home space, and a million more wonderful ideas. And while the odds of winning may be against us, it only takes one ticket to win any lottery, and right now is probably the most thrilling time to play (responsibly).

Not only is tonight's Powerball jackpot up to over half a billion dollars in winnings, but it also happens to be the sixth-largest in Powerball history, and it will potentially be the tenth-largest in U.S Lottery history.

If someone is lucky enough to match all six numbers drawn, they will walk away with an estimated payout of $635 million, with the actual cash value of the winning ticket set at $450 million.

What are the odds?

The jackpot, which started at 20 million, has gone through nearly 39 drawings with no winners. And while the odds of walking away a multi-millionaire are pretty big - about 1 in 292.2 million; it's not impossible to score because the last time a lucky winner beat the odds and matched the six drawn numbers was back in June.

If no one wins this weekend, the jackpot will grow closer to the billion-dollar mark vying to match the record of the largest jackpots in U.S. lottery history of nearly a little over 1.5 billion.

Are you feeling Lucky? Try your luck tonight.
