If you're a property owner, you dread this time of year. You have to pay your property taxes and it's a chunk out of your pocket. This year, the deadline for your property tax payment is Monday, February 1. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, there are a more limited number of ways for you to pay your property taxes. You can not pay at Wells Fargo bank locations because of the COVID restrictions in place. You also cannot pay at the Consolidated Tax Office at 221 N. Kansas Ste. 300 in downtown El Paso.

In order to avoid penalties and interest, you need to make sure that your property taxes are paid on Monday, February 1, and believe me when I tell you, the penalties and interest are hell on your wallet. I forgot to mail mine in one year for a month and the couple of hundred bucks that it cost me taught me quickly to never forget again.

Here's where you can pay on Saturday, January 30. If you want to get all the information on how and where to pay your property taxes, click here for the El Paso Central Appraisal District website.
