Two of El Paso’s favorite comedians are coming back to the Sun City in June.

The Original Latin comic Paul Rodriguez, and the unfiltered Carlos Mencia will each headline a weekend full of their own brand of humor at Bart Reed’s Comic Strip this month.

First up is Rodriguez.

The 64-year-old comedy legend's career spans nearly four decades and includes movies and countless comedy specials, including The Original Latin Kings of Comedy with Cheech Marin and George Lopez, which was filmed here in El Paso in 2002. ('Member? You 'member!)

He was the first Latino comic to star in his own television show with 1982’s Norman Lear creation AKA Pablo.

Paul will perform 5 shows from Thursday, June 13 through Saturday, June 15. Tickets are $22 and $27 plus service charge, and can be purchased online.

The always funny and thought-provoking Mencia returns for 3 nights at Bart Reed's Comic Strip beginning Thursday, June 27. Whether its race relations, politics, or stereotypes if you like your comedy raw and aren't easily offended then Mencia is the comic for you.

Although he was at Bart Reed's last June, you can always count on Carlos to perform new material and find new ways to work in his trademark "dee dee dee".

Get inside the mind of Mencia from Thursday, June 27 through Saturday, June 29. Tickets are available online and cost between $27.50 and 52.50 plus service charge.
