Monkey Rock is bringing bowling, blacklight putt-putt, and Hologate VR to the west side by the end of summer.

The family entertainment center that has taken over a section of the former Sears building in Sunland Park Mall is promising El Pasoans “all monkey, no business” in the form of indoor games, activities, and dining options all under one roof.

Along with 10 lanes of bowling and 9 holes of blacklight putt-putt, Monkey Rock will also offer rock wall stations, arcade games, and a casual dining and drink menu.

Hologate VR and the “first of its kind in El Paso” sports simulation suites featuring virtual golf, soccer, and football are part of the mix, too, according to its website.

The west side's newest fun center is hoping to welcome party animals of all ages to the jungle by the end of July.

The 50,000 square-foot entertainment center consists of climbing walls, rope courses, laser tag, spin zone bumper cars, and trampolines to name just a few of the recreational activities and attractions one can expect from "the nation’s largest chain of family-oriented indoor theme parks."

A couple of blocks over on Onix, you’ll find JW (Jumping World) Entertainment, which took over the old Fiesta Bowling Lanes building.
