It didn't take long for Miner basketball fans to start lining up for WNIT Championship game tickets, and it didn’t take long to sell out The Don for the second consecutive time.

Minutes after the UTEP Miners women’s basketball team defeated South Dakota State 66-63 to advance to the title game, a line started forming at the University Ticket Center and less than 2 hours later all 12,222 tickets had been sold. (If you aren’t one of the lucky ticket holders, no worries; the CBS Sports Network will be televising the game. See below.)

UTEP will host Rutgers Saturday, April 5, at 1 p.m. The Scarlet Knights earned their way in by beating South Florida 62-52 on Wednesday. The Miners get a shot at a national title on their home court thanks to fans that have shown their love and support in record numbers, and the big-hearted decision by the Franklin Graham Festival of Hope to move its previously-scheduled event to another location on campus.

By all accounts, it was not an easy win for the lady Miners. The wild, back-and-forth game featured eight ties, 15 lead changes, and went down to the final seconds. You can watch the Jackrabbits desperate attempts to send the game into overtime in the video above.
