As Ruidoso continues to recover from a relentless series of natural disasters, a powerful movement is rising from the Borderland to offer hope, healing, and a whole lot of sound. Rock for Ruidoso, the benefit concert born from community compassion, is officially back for its second year. This year, it’s bigger, louder, and more urgent than ever before.

The concert takes place on Saturday, August 16th at The Rock House in El Paso. Doors open at 3 PM, and the first band hits the stage at 4 PM, setting off an unforgettable night of music with a mission. The goal? To raise critical funds for families and small businesses in Ruidoso who are still reeling from the recent catastrophic floods that followed a summer already scarred by wildfires.

Leading the lineup is Deadly Virtues, an electrifying act hailing from Phoenix, who are bringing their high-intensity sound to a community that needs every bit of the support. They’ll share the stage with Hobos, a local supergroup that includes members of El Paso metal icons Pissing Razors. The night will also feature performances from some of the region’s most exciting talent, including Ness DanielsFuneral JokeCicada DialectEpitaphromanceThe Mighty DemolitiousJane Like Fire, and The Little Lobos.

“This concert is not only about the music. It’s about our community,” organizers said in a statement. “We’re proud to see so many artists stepping up to support Ruidoso families and businesses recovering from this natural disaster.”

Tickets will be sold at the door for $10, and every cent of admission goes directly toward flood relief efforts in Ruidoso. In addition to music, the event will feature food, drinks, and merchandise, with a portion of all sales also being donated. The event is open to anyone 18 and over.

In times of crisis, music becomes more than entertainment. It becomes resistance. It becomes healing. Rock for Ruidoso is more than a concert. It is a call to action.

Come through. Show up. Rock out. Give back.
