If you're looking for a film that hits close to home, "In the Summers" is a must-watch. I came across the film when I was looking for something to watch on Hulu. I was intrigued by the cover of the film which was simple but interesting. It showed a dad and his two daughters just laying on lawn chairs. I decided to read the movie's synopsis and was surprised when I read that the movie was about a Las Cruces, NM dad and his two daughters!

Restaurants like Miguel’s on Amador Avenue and local spots near Young Park also make an appearance, adding to the film’s authentic feel. The decision to film here wasn’t just about the state’s generous tax incentives—it was about telling a story in a place that felt real and culturally rich.

These locations not only enhance the visual appeal but also resonate deeply with those familiar with the area.
