Last month, in honor of the success of the show's reboot, Paramount+ decided to try and beat the record for the largest serving of nachos.

They beat the record with a whopping 4,870 pounds!

That is a LOT of nachos, I guess the question would be: who wants the nachos more? Beavis or Butthead?

The record had been previously held by the University of Kansas with nachos weighing in at 4.689 pounds.

However, in 2018, Las Cruces unofficially set the world record for the largest serving of nachos, weighing in at 5,039 pounds and measuring 110-feet long. So, obviously, Las Cruces should be the winner, right?

We would be wrong!

Despite there being over 900 pounds of chips, 450 pounds of salsa, and 2,200 pounds of cheese Las Cruces is not a Guinness world record holder. However, because there was no Guinness representative present- the huge serving of nachos did not count in the Guinness Book of Records.

But how could it not? Just look at this massive feast!

Back in 2018 when Las Cruces created this feast, patron paid $15 for the festival and were able to dig in; anything left over was donated to the Gospel Rescue Mission.

Just because there was no Guinness official, doesn't mean that Las Cruces' nacho achievement is going to go unnoticed! Beavis and Butthead may have the new title, but I know the real winner here is Las Cruces!
