Lady Gaga made a surprise appearance at Pride Live’s Stonewall Day Concert in New York City on Friday (June 28) to pay tribute to the LGBTQ+ community.

To mark the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, a defining moment in the LGBTQ rights movement, the "Shallow" singer delivered a passionate speech in which she opened up about her own bisexuality and thanked the community for changing her life and career.

“I am so emotional today,” a tearful Gaga said according to EW. “This community has fought and continued to fight a war of acceptance, a war of tolerance, and of the most relentless bravery. You are the definition of courage.”

"I may not, to some people... I may not even be considered a part of this community," she continued. "Even though, I like girls sometimes. I would never degrade the fight you have all endured, the adversity that you have all been through to truly be seen, to be heard, or the struggles that you've been through to love yourselves and to seek that love from other people."

“The universe brought us together in the spirit of kindness, and together we’re a powerhouse," she added. "I hope you celebrate every inch of who you are today. You were born this way and you are superstars!”

The pop star, who's been an outspoken advocate for the LGBTQ+ community for years, also told the crowd she would take a bullet for them, adding that they are the "definition of courage."
