‘Best New Artist’ Nominee Khalid Performs on BET Awards Show

Khalid's come up is real, y'all.

The 19 year old from El Paso was invited to perform at the 2017 BET Awards Sunday night (6/25) and he put it down for the 915.

Khalid serenaded the A-list crowd with his double-platinum hit song Location dancing in front of a small crowd of audience members wearing varsity jackets emblazoned with a letter "K" in the front and the words "American Teen" on the back.

The Americas High alum was one of 5 nominated for Best New Artist, along with 21 Savage, Young M.A., Cardi B, and winner Chance the Rapper.

His BET Awards appearance comes one week after performing a medley of Let's Go and Location on The Late, Late Show with James Corden, and being named the Apple Music Up Next Artist for the month of July.

Keep an eye on this kid. I think he just might be going places. :)
