Khalid's "Location" Is 75th Song To Become Certified Diamond

Lucky number…75?! You better believe it! El Paso’s very own Khalid is celebrating another milestone in his musical career.

Khalid’s first single, Location, has officially been certified DIAMOND! He shared the exciting news on his Instagram page with the caption reading, “Location is the 75th song in HISTORY to go Diamond. Thank you to everyone who made this possible!”

The Recording Industry Association of America, RIAA, gives diamond certifications to songs that have gone platinum 10 times.

The first song in history to ever get a Diamond certification was Elton John’s “Something About The Way You Look Tonight/ Candle in the Wind” back in 1997.

Other artists that are proud Diamond holders include Eminem, Katy Perry, Drake, Cardi B, and Bruno Mars to name a few.

But wait! That's not all Khalid is celebrating:

He went on to share that his album “American Teen” is now a 4x platinum album.

In the post Khalid wrote that American Teen was an album that changed his life forever and that he will always be grateful for the love he received from his fans.

This exciting news came after Khalid had just dropped his latest single, Last Call, which he said is a gift to all of his fans.

According to his Instagram post, the new single is another chapter in Khalid's life and he went on to thank his fans for loving and supporting him through his journey as an adult.
