Bed Bath & Beyond announced filing bankruptcy last week, but if you have saved those coupons, don't get rid of them yet, there is another store that will accept them.

The failing retailer is no longer honoring their own coupons because discounts have begun to liquidate their stores in preparation for closing them down completely.

360 Bed Bath & Beyond stores and 120 Buy Buy Baby stores that are owned by the company will all be closing by June 30.

The orderly closing process of all stores began April 26 and returns and exchanges for products purchased before Sunday will be accepted by May 24.

The Container Store announced on April 26, the day Bed Bath & Beyond started not honoring their own coupons, that they would be honoring Bed Bath & Beyond coupons.

"Considering recently announced retailer closings, The Container Store will offer a 20% discount off any single item through May 31, 2023, for customers who bring a competitor’s blue coupon to any store location," said The Container Store in a press release.

The only bad thing about that is the closest Container Store to Midland/Odessa would be in the DFW Metroplex.

There are also stores in Houston, Austin, and San Antonio. Go to The Container Store website to see the locations of stores in Texas.

So next time you are planning a trip out of town to those locations and you are still in possession of Bed Bath & Beyond coupons, just head to The Container Store to get that 20% off.

As expected, all sales after April 26, 2023, at Bed Bath & Beyond will be final and no returns or exchanges will be offered.

Big companies that survived, and thrived, after bankruptcy

There have been some big name brands that declared bankruptcy and built back, stronger — some with New Jersey ties.

From an automaker to theme park company and mall food court staple, here’s at least six successful restructuring stories.

New Automated McDonalds in Ft Worth, Texas Gallery:

The fact is, this McDonalds is not "fully automated", they have a smaller staff working in the kitchen filling the orders, but the counter-person, all-to-often found with a bad attitude, has been eliminated in this dining concept. This new McDonalds is much smaller and has no seating for indoor dining. This is a take-out-only concept with all staff concentrating on getting the orders right. Will it work? We'll see.
