From the moment he first auditioned, Julian stood out not only for his voice, but for his vulnerability. He opened up about his mental health journey, using music as a way to connect and heal. Julian Kalel Returns to Idol Stage for Finale Duet

I came across a post on Facebook that announced that Julian Kalel will return to the American Idol stage for the grand finale, where he’ll perform alongside judge and country superstar Luke Bryan. The two are set to bring classic country energy to the stage with a performance of “A Thousand Miles From Nowhere,” originally by Dwight Yoakam and it’s a song fans may remember Julian had prepared earlier in the competition.

The duet marks a full-circle moment, giving viewers the chance to finally see Julian perform a song they didn’t get to hear during his original run and this time, on one of the biggest nights of the season.
